HOW TO ENTER
Due to Covid19 and following government guidelines, competitions will be paused until studios re-open.
MY DOG IS AMAZING! HOW CAN I ENTER?
Entering the National Dog Portrait Awards is easy.
1. First of all, you need to find your nearest participating studio.
When you get in touch, they will book you in for a portrait session on a date that suits you – and your dog. You’ll need to pay a £30 refundable deposit.
2. On the day of your shoot, bring your dog to the studio looking their best and a professional photographer will take your (potentially award-winning) portrait.
You can discuss beforehand what kind of portrait you have in mind. You can include props, or you can keep it simple, whatever you think will show off their personality to the full.
The photo shoot will be an experience that you or even the whole family can get involved in. But it has to be a portrait of your dog alone that is entered for the competition.
3. At the end of your shoot, your studio team will show you all the images you’ve captured together and you can decide which one you’d like them to submit for the competition and pay your £10 entry fee.
You can also pick any others that you’d like to buy as prints or portraits, but there’s no obligation to purchase.
MY CAT IS AMAZING CAN I ENTER HER?
Sadly, no. We’d love to see their portrait, but no matter how amazing your cat, lizard, parakeet or tortoise is, they can’t enter this particular competition. Only dogs are allowed.
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE AMAZING DOG! CAN I ENTER THEM ALL?
Yes! You can only enter each dog once, but you can enter as many dogs as you like. Each new entry is subject to the £10 entry fee, but you will only need to book one appointment.
WHERE IS THE SMALL PRINT?
By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
